Salmon Arm

Salmon Arm is the hub of the Shuswap. While the entire surrounding area boasts a population of over 50,000, Salmon Arm proper remains quaint and quiet with a population of 15,000.

Located on the shores of Shuswap Lake at the north end of the Okanagan Valley in the interior of British Columbia, Salmon Arm retains the friendly warmth of a smaller community complete with all the amenities you’d expect in a larger centre including excellent health care services, municipal water and sewer, fully equipped fire stations and RCMP.

Salmon Arm enjoys a moderate climate, a diverse economy and boasts a renowned location that lends itself splendidly to recreation.

Salmon Arm and the Shuswap are full of great amenities and enjoyable activities. There are 4 professional golf courses, over 14,000 feet of beautiful lake front boardwalk, bird sanctuary and world-class fishing. Salmon Arm is full of cultural diversions, local flavor shopping, entertainment, and casual and fine dining. Please see links.

The Shuswap is conveniently located exactly halfway between Calgary and Vancouver along the Trans Canada Highway. We’re only 1.5 hours from the Kelowna International Airport. This makes West Harbour Village potentially a very convenient location for visiting family and friends – and there’s a lot to do in the Sunny Shuswap while they’re here! Please see maps.

People from across Canada are re-locating to Salmon Arm and the surrounding many rural communities for the quality of life they find here.
